Pulsed electro-magnetic therapy utilises the well known sensitivity of mammalian physiology to magnetic fields, in a manner that enhances healing & promotes well being. This is a powerful & targeted technique that can be so much more than the simple static magnet devices that many people have found the benefits of [we do use static magnets as well, for supplemental treatment].
Treatment can be applied via a whole body rug or via individual applicator pads. The operator programs the control unit to produce a sequence of rapidly pulsed electro magnetic bursts, specific to the biostimulative effect that is required for their patient.
The treatment can be used for effects as diverse as from aiding relaxation before and after exercise, to the treatment of serious conditions such as laminitis, tendon injuries and bone fractures. Treatment sessions can be up to 3 times per day and for 15 - 45 minutes per session.
This therapy has been used in the Racing industry & at Olympic level for many years and we are very pleased to be able to offer your horse this therapy.
